Overview

In 2023, VolunteeringACT coordinated the biggest surveys of volunteers and volunteer managers ever conducted in the ACT. 

Together, the two surveys received 580 responses from both volunteers and volunteer managers, providing us with a vital snapshot of the current state of volunteering in the ACT. The results showed that 279,000 ACT residents contributed over 63 million hours of their time to volunteering in 2023, generating $14.1 billion of value for the Canberra Region.
