About the Showcase

A major element of The Centre’s implementation of the Volunteer Management Activity is creating partnerships with community experts through the Project Partnerships Program.

Join Communications Manager, Alison Leader, for a showcase of their project, “Out of Work and Into Volunteering - Marketing tools for effective recruitment of young people and older adults," covering:

  • How the project was devised
  • How the new resources can help volunteer managers to improve their volunteer program
  • How the new resources can be used by volunteer managers to encourage and support volunteering through embracing diversity and inclusivity.

About the Project

The “Out of Work and Into Volunteering” project consists of four e-learning modules including videos and downloadable resources, with marketing strategies for attracting people to volunteering. It focuses on ways to recruit those in the age groups of 18-24 and 55-64 who are in a season of unemployment.
