Becoming an Inclusive Volunteer Mentor

This course provides the knowledge to support volunteers wishing to become a mentor for a participant in the Inclusive Volunteering Pathways to Employment program.


This course has been developed by VolunteeringACT, The Centre for Volunteering and Volunteering Tasmania, the peak bodies for volunteering in these jurisdictions and forms part of the Inclusive Volunteering Pathways to Employment program.


Upon completion of the course, learners will have a greater understanding of:

  • What inclusion and diversity in the workplace is
  • Disability and mental health in Australia
  • What the Inclusive Volunteering Pathways to Employment program is and how to become a volunteer member
  • The roles and responsibilities of a volunteer mentor
  • How to provide support to your mentee and yourself throughout the program
