Overview
Developed in partnership with The Neighbourhood Centre, this suite of resources addresses the challenges of engaging volunteers from diverse backgrounds to enable them to take the "first steps" to volunteering.
Many potential volunteers do not have the basic skills or confidence to successfully apply and retain volunteer positions. With these resources, volunteer involving organisations can gain an understanding of the challenges and barriers faced by the priority groups and learn strategies to help overcome them.
Videos and Fact Sheets
These videos focus on topics to assist potential volunteers to successfully apply for and retain volunteer positions. Volunteer managers can use these resources to showcase the benefits of volunteering and to prepare individuals for their volunteering journey. The accompanying fact sheets are presented in an easy read format, complementing the videos by providing the volunteer manager with advice, strategies and further resources for engaging potential volunteers.
