This template is a starting point for developing your own registration form.
Having a registration form is important for several reasons:
- Risk Management: Collecting essential information about volunteers means you can better manage risks. This includes appropriate insurance coverage (such as youth volunteers) and conducting necessary background checks (Working With Children)
- Volunteer Management: It aids effective management of volunteers by having their skills, availability and preferences on hand. This helps in determining suitable roles and responsibilities.
- Communication: Having up-to-date contact information allows effective communication with volunteers regarding any organisation updates, or training opportunities. It is also important to have an emergency contact should an incident occur.
- Support: Some vounteers or roles may require more support than others. A robust registration form can help determine what support may be needed depending on the role or any reasonable adjustments that may be required by the volunteer.
